In Spanish you don’t pronounce the letter “h”.

Halana with an “h” means “my child” in Hebrew so my mother chose to add the “h” but it was always meant to be silent.

It sounds like “Alana”.

That’s why I dropped the “h” when I moved to the states.

Sometimes you see it and sometimes you don’t.
